RF-MTE Rodobal Series Spherical Rod Ends

Rodobal RF-MTE series spherical joints. Rodobal spherical joints with the suffix “..MTE” have a forged body made from 42CrMo4 alloy steel, which has been heat-treated to withstand very high stresses. The inner spherical ring is made of 100Cr6 carbon steel, which is hardened and ground on both the spherical surface and the bore, and is thick-chromium-plated. Furthermore, an anti-friction insert, consisting of a mesh of bronze wires impregnated with PTFE, is positioned between the spherical inner ring and the stainless steel bushing. The anti-friction insert acts as a permanent lubricant; no greasing is required, either initially or during operation. This eliminates the need for a grease nipple and the associated hole in the head body, which would reduce the load-bearing capacity. Rodobal ..MTE spherical joints are corrosion-resistant thanks to the polished nickel plating on the head body, the stainless steel bushing, and the chrome plating and thickness of the inner ring. The spherical sliding joint is preloaded and has very low play; the preload prevents the joint’s play from increasing during use. The fine-pitch right- or left-hand thread allows for precise adjustment of the centre distances between arms and rods.
